Tucked next to the German embassy in Kodjoviakopé neighborhood and around the corner from its fancier sister, Hotel Bellevue’s Belle Époque, Annexe offers a bar and restaurant in a uniquely cozy garden atmosphere.
Friendly staff welcome guests into an area lit with a warm glow, thanks to paper lanterns hanging in trees, where seating options include benches decked in colorful artisan fabrics. You may forget you’re in Lomé.
Annexe is best known for its tasty wood-fired pizzas, which start at 3.700 FCFA for a margherita, with more creative multi-topping versions costing around 5.000. (If you’re truly hungry, don’t plan on sharing.) However, the updated menu offers a list of starters, salads, a sizable burger, and other tasty main dishes.
The garden occasionally hosts live music and other special events, usually announced via facebook, and is a nice space for kids to peacefully play while waiting for food. When it’s crowded, service can be quite slow.
Closed on Mondays. They have a website which includes the latest menu updates and announcements of any special happenings.
